What happens to your laptops

What we accept

Why a certificate matters

Windows laptops, MacBooks and Chromebooks, plus docking stations, chargers and laptop bags. Locked, damaged or non-working laptops are welcome.

We log every laptop by serial number when we collect it. Each drive is wiped at our Bedford site, or shredded if it cannot be wiped. Working laptops are tested, graded A, B or C and resold through our GradedKit store. Anything that cannot be reused is recycled under WEEE rules.

Under UK GDPR your organisation stays responsible for personal data on old laptops until it is destroyed. A data wiping certificate for each device gives you a clear record for audits and your data protection officer.

Free collection of old business laptops, MacBooks and Chromebooks from offices, schools and charities anywhere in the UK. Every drive is wiped to NIST 800-88 standards and you get a certificate for each laptop.
